The KV Technology Student Association (KV-TSA) engineering club is a chapter of the National, non-profit career and technical student organization (CTSO) of high school students who are engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Students engage in engineering activities that culminate in the State competition/conference at Purdue University in the spring.

KVHS Top Finishes - State Conference

    2026

    Following three years of top two finishes in the state including one State Championship (2024), the KVHS Technology Student Association (TSA) team continued their excellent performances with a 1st Place Overall in the state of Indiana at the 2026 State Conference held at Purdue University in West Lafayette on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28. KV TSA (81 points) won out as Indiana TSA State Champions over Penn HS TSA (55 pts), Northridge HS TSA (44 pts) and other Indiana schools.

    KVHS Sophomore Kallie Winter was elected as State Treasurer while KVHS Junior Jessica Beauchamp was elected State President of Indiana TSA. Jessica starts a campaign soon to try to become an officer for the National TSA organization at their June, 2026 conference. The Technology Student Association is the country’s Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for Engineering/Technology Education with 48 state delegations.

    2025

    The KVHS Technology Student Association (TSA) team took 2nd place overall in the state of Indiana at the 2025 State Conference held at Purdue University in West Lafayette on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15. KV TSA lost a hard-fought competition by 8 pts to the larger Penn HS (3,800+ students overall). KV TSA was also awarded a plaque for being a “Blue Cap” member (membership over 35 students) and came in 4th place for Chapter of the Year in the state. TSA is the country’s Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for Engineering/Technology Education with 48 state delegations.

    Jessica Beauchamp was installed as an Indiana TSA State Officer (Reporter) for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Dr. Kaluf was also chosen as “Indiana TSA Advisor of the Year” by the Indiana TSA Board of Directors.

    2023-2024

    Over Friday, Feb. 10 and Saturday, Feb. 11, the 11-member KVHS Technology Student Association (TSA) team took 2nd place overall in the state of Indiana at the 2023 State Conference held at Purdue University in West Lafayette. They were only outscored by the 3,800 student Penn HS 38-member team.
